Karen Madden tells Lonna she likes the challenge of working with different materials. For a long time Karen’s passion has been working with fiber. She recently discovered working with metal to be creatively stimulating with a new set of tools, techniques and challenges to learn about. Both mediums, because of the nature of the materials, provide Karen with artistic satisfaction and challenges. A member of the ArtEast Open Studio Tour (October) and ArtMostNY (May) Karen’s work is in private collections nationally.
